Installation

Generally, extensions need to be installed into the same Python environment Salt uses.

State

Install Salt Sqlite3 extension:
  pip.installed:
    - name: saltext-sqlite3

Onedir installation

salt-pip install saltext-sqlite3

Regular installation

pip install saltext-sqlite3

Salt itself is expected to be provided by the environment. If it should be pip-managed as well, request the salt extra:

pip install 'saltext-sqlite3[salt]'

Hint

Saltexts are not distributed automatically via the fileserver like custom modules, they need to be installed on each node you want them to be available on.
